Take the Leap: Holly's Thrive Story
- Member since: February 2026
- Program: Medical Weight Loss
- Before Thrive: Once-weekly dosing, no doctor access, appetite swings
- With Thrive: Twice-weekly dosing, real physician visits, gaining muscle
Doing everything right and still stuck
Meet Holly. She was working out five days a week, a mix of strength training and cardio. She watched what she ate, kept portions in check, stayed disciplined. And the weight wouldn't move.
"I exercise faithfully five days a week," she says. "I was also very cautious, only healthy food and limited quantities, and there was nothing I could do to lose weight."
For Holly, it wasn't just about the number on the scale. She was dealing with ongoing digestive issues, inflammation, and bloating that left her uncomfortable and, in her words, agitated. All of this combined began to chip away at her confidence in the gym and in her daily life.
Finding Thrive
- Consultation: Every member starts with a real conversation, not a form
- Dosing: Set with a doctor, not a default protocol
- Adjustments: Plans change as your body responds, not on a fixed schedule
Holly started on a GLP-1 with another provider before switching to Thrive, prompted by a benefit through her gym, Crunch Fitness. The differences she noticed almost immediately: access to a doctor, and a different approach to dosing.
"I met with the doctor, and she was very helpful. At the last place I went, I never talked to a doctor," Holly said. "She recommended that I do the shot twice a week, and that has kept my appetite more level. I have been able to eat on a more consistent basis."
For Holly, that meant fewer swings between not eating and then overeating once a dose started to wear off.
"When you are not eating and you are working out, you are not really doing your body any good," she said. "The personalized, twice-a-week approach has worked better for me."
A Different Measure of Success
By the time Holly switched to Thrive, she'd already reached most of her weight-loss goal.
So what she's noticed since isn't a smaller number on the scale, it's a shift in body composition: less inflammation, more muscle, and clothes that fit the way she wants them to.
"I am comfortable with my weight, and I am excited that I am gaining muscle."
Another change Holly didn't expect: being able to jog again. A knee injury had kept her from running for years.
"After losing thirty pounds, I can jog now in short intervals without any residual impact on my knee."
Beyond the physical changes, Holly says there's been a shift in how she moves through her days; she's more willing to try new things in the gym and step outside her comfort zone.
Looking back, Holly's advice to herself before she started is simple: "Take the leap of faith."
For Holly, the biggest change wasn’t just the weight she lost. It was feeling like her body was finally working with her again.
